God has been teaching me the value of perseverance all throughout the month!
July 8- Abbey joins BF Resort Branch
Welcome to BF RESORT Abbey!
She’ll replace me as the new teller of the branch! Thank God for giving me the wisdom to train Abbey even for a short time! God bless and enjoy the rollercoaster ride! Haha
July 20- Bible Club starts today!
Will post my caption on Facebook:
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 2 corinthians 9:6-8
This is my devotion this morning and God made me realize that this verse is not just about giving money, but also giving our time and effort to edify or encourage others. It’s my first saturday to teach Bible club again after 2-3 years.. And i have learned the importance of consistency and faithfulness in this ministry in a very hard way.. Almost all of my past students before were gone, transferred to another place, went to another church, one little girl died from dengue too.. The seed that we plant in the lives of these children has to be watered consistently.. Giving our best for this ministry, sowing bountifully with a willing and cheerful heart.. And in due time, we will reap bountifully too! It’s only by God’s grace that we can be consistent and faithful.. We need to fully depend on God.
Another from July 20 – Hannah and I visited Natalia and her newborn baby boy! 🙂
July 22- Night Jogging- Getting strong and fit!
Getting fit doesn’t mean getting skinny! I don’t just want to slim down but to get stronger!
My goal: (Try not to laugh please!) I want to be able to deliver my baby fast and lest painful. (in the future) I am always reminded in the Bible, the time of Moses when every Israelite’s first born baby is to be killed—But then the women were able to give birth before the midwives came. (Exodus 1:19-21)
The reason behind this is compared to the Egyptian women (who live extravagantly) Israelite women are hard workers and therefore they are stronger!
AUGUST- this month I’ll consistently track my progress!
July 23- Finished “New Heart, New Spirit, New Song”
Blessed to read this book—I recommend it to not just musicians but all who profess that they are Christians. God wants us to be set apart to Him and set apart from the world but we can’t become set apart to God if one of the areas of our lives are slowly dipping into worldiness. I’m talking about MUSIC. Music communicates and it is vital for a Christian to discern whether the music he/she listens to communicates godliness rather than worldliness.
READ THIS BOOK AND BE CHALLENGED !
– Exit Interview!
I had my exit interview at Beaufort—Praise God for an opportunity to share my faith to my interviewer. Every opportunity counts!
July 24- Despedida Part 1
NO DIET TODAY POLICY! Haha My mom cooked Spaghetti and Inihaw na Liempo! We had donuts and buko pandan! Yum!! Enjoyed this day!
July 25- Women of the New Testament presentation of the “Woman at the Well”
Need I say more? Haha
July 26- Last day at work
Last day! I’m going to miss these people badly! The craziness and all! Haha. Good thing that they’re just 173 steps away from my house. J I’m going to miss my moments as a TELLER! Oh boy, never did I wish to become one in my entire life, but nevertheless, everyday was an adventure! I got to meet different types of people and gained new friends in them. Praying for opportunities to minister more to them!
July 27- Able to show hospitality to Ms. Asenath and Ms. Regine (Music Faculty Teachers at BJMBC)
Ms. Asenath and Ms. Regine went to Las Pinas to watch the Bamboo Organ Concert! It was late at night and I know (from my experience) that it’s difficult to go back to Q.C. at pass 9 in the evening. So, I asked if they would want to just stay for the night at our home—they agreed! And it was a blessing to help even in a small way!
July 28- fight against flesh—was able to share the Gospel! Woohoo!
This Sunday, I felt really weak and I haven’t eaten breakfast because we’re late for church already. L And so after the worship service, we have our Sunday school and my mom wanted to skip it because we were really hungry, I felt really dizzy and sleepy all throughout the preaching but little did I know that God has been testing me! I am supposed to teach my High school girls class and the thought of skipping it juggled across my mind. But then, I CHOSE to stay and teach—I reminded myself that others can live for days without eating, why can’t I survive for just another hour. Haha
My mom agreed and I went to my class. My lesson for that particular Sunday was about TRUSTING GOD WHEN I’M HURT or (when I’m in trouble). We had a good number of students today, yehey! And I’m glad that our new routine went great. We’ve decided that before the lesson start, one of them will be sharing a verse that spoke to their heart throughout the week. This will hold them accountable to their daily devotion! Praise the Lord!
I love my students and I am more than willing to help them in any way! 🙂
So here’s the result of my CHOICE of not skipping Sunday school: One of my students came to me after class and asked for counsel and I WAS ABLE TO GIVE COUNSEL AND THEN SHARE THE GOSPEL TO HER! I still feel the joy that I felt when I was sharing the Gospel to her! And just to think about what could have happened if I skipped Sunday school, she may not be able to hear of the good news!
LESSON LEARNED: EAT BREAKFAST! Haha Just kidding.
CHOOSE TO DO GOD’S WILL EVEN IF IT’S DIFFICULT!
And I did this. 😀
July 27- Rest! Yes! And Odesk Work
Time of rest on a weekday! At last after two years! Haha I praise God for a time to stay at home and play with my handsome nephew ( I believe NO ONE would disagree) . I also am thankful for my online work which can cover my travelling expenses going to school. I am currently a freelance graphic designer working for a Christian employer (praise God) I design headers for website that is basically about evangelism and discipleship, a data entry clerk and a freelance creative content writer for different websites. The Lord is good!
July 30- FIRST EVER MIDTERM EXAM at BJMBC
First ever midterm! It’s funny how I felt like it’s my first time to really see the subjects that I’m taking as something that has SENSE and have several practical applications in my life. And yes, I’m talking about subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and PROGRAMMING! Argh! Haha But I know God led me to finish my secular course to gain patience (:P) and knowledge that I can use in the ministry.
Going through 3 more exams this week! Praying for wisdom!
