Dealing with Death

I’ve been thinking about death more these past week.. and so, I decided to give it as a lesson in my sunday school class.

Before I went on to type my hand-out, I thought to myself, “Would it be appropriate to teach DEATH in a group of highschoolers? who knew more of life and not death?” But that is exactly what God is teaching me. DEATH have no respect of persons nor AGE. Death can come to a 16-year old as it can fast approach a 60-year old.

I just want to paste my hand-out here so that I would remember this lesson when I grow older.

“At the point of death, only the important surfaces”

Ex. 1. When _PAUL_ knew he will be executed, he wrote letters to different churches to remind/rebuke/teach them.

2.) JESUS, knowing that He will give His life for men, spent all the days of His life guiding, teaching, healing, loving and rescuing people.

3.) When king HEZEKIAH was told that he was going to die, he pleaded for more time.

The dilemma: You don’t know when it’ll happen!

Ex. 1. Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5:1-10)

2. Uzzah ( 2 Samuel 6:2-7)

3. Phinehas and Hophni

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

  • You have to live each day with the G2G attitude. (GLORY TO GOD)

(1 Cor. 10:31)

  • START NOW! Not later…NOW!
  • God’s mercy abounds each day for giving us a chance to change

Although this is just a skeletal hand-out, ( I usually don’t write all in my hand-out to encourage my students to listen more to what their teacher says), it has made me to think of God’s mercy above all else.

God knows my shortcomings, God knows my stubborn attitude, God sees the things that I try to hide from Him. But still, through His Word, He patiently helps me to turn away from my sin and turn to Him for Spiritual feeding!

I CAN REALLY SAY OUT LOUD THAT HE IS GOOD, for giving me a chance to turn to Him alone!
